Uday’s big chance

It is not very difficult to be sympathetic to Uday’s cause.

The young hero was at one point seen as a star material. But the alchemy of desire and some strange personal happenings saw to it that Uday’s career took a queer turn.

After his engagement with a star’s daughter was called off, Uday’s career has gone on the opposite direction to the one he would have wished. A slew of failures has meant that he is now at the edge of his career.

Only Abaddam can say whether he will continue in the industry or not. Produced by Prakash Raj and directed by veteran K Balachander, Abaddam is verily Uday’s last chance at glory.

The movie, according to inside sources, has shaped up well. The movie stars Vimala and Geetu in the female leads. The director Balachander himself is playing the hero’s father in the movie.

This bilingual has got all the right backing as Prakash Raj is getting it the right openings.

Incidentally, the film’s invite, among others, also features Chiranjeevi’s photo (albeit as a still one from his film with Balachander).

Are good times coming back for Uday?
